STV: Michael Westmore tours us through his exhibition at UC-Santa Barbara, Part 2

As promised, here’s Part 2 of our tour of the “Lifeforms” career retrospective of the Trek and non-Trek work of makeup legend Michael Westmore—led by the man himself!

In this segment, you get everything facecast, android and Borg, with some never-before-displayed pieces from the series and films—and all with commentary from Mike.

The exhibit remains on view through April 30 at his alma mater, University of California-Santa Barbara, in the Art Design & Architecture Museum. The campus will also host April 20 a 5 p.m. talk and 7 p.m. screening by Michael of the film Raging Bull (tickets free but limited—reserve them here!), which features his incredible fight makeup and prosthetics on Robert DeNiro, and a book-signing at noon April 22 for his illustrated memoir Makeup Man from Lyons Press.
