It’s another Cajun Trek for me back to CyPhaCon — and I can’t wait!

One of the best little conventions around is hardly a secret any more—and I’m so excited to be on the guest bill again for CyPhaCon April 7-9 in Lake Charles, La.

So, hey East Texas and Mississippi—as well as Louisiana of course—it’s well worth the drive. Be there, or be regrettin’ it.

Like most fan-run cons, the parent Cypha LLC is organized to support a charity, and this year it’s Harbor House of Lake Charles, a safe house for local young people who cannot live at home with their families.

This seventh annual edition at the Lake Charles Civic Center again is the biggest yet, and they have been kind enough to have me every other year.  It’s a blast seeing old friends and meeting new Trekfans every year— and for 2017 the real-world Trekland news as well my own projects is certainly enough to update!

I’ll have the table with a Portal 47 drawing of course, plus all my goodies and Saturday night’s last “Dr. Trek Show” in these parts to help support The Con of Wrath doc as we wrap it up!

I love the smaller cons for the truly personal Trek connection we get to make, and this year I even get to see past guestmates Lucianna Carro and my alter-Bones, Chuck Huber, too.

If you’re going, don’t wait to get tickets—you can avoid the lines and get’em now on Eventbrite, or locally at Paper Heroes: A weekend 3-day pass is now only $40!  Book your con-deal hotel room now, too: the regular Springhill Suites Marriott is sold out, but the overflow hotel Best Western PLUS Prien Lake Inn & Suites has just partnered up.
Check the site for the latest on all cosplay, gaming, anime, CyPhaKids, art, comics, writing and media panels, too… AND the Pub Crawl, on Facebook!

And join me in checking for this year’s #CONCAKE! I do love Southern conventions! I may even go live….

  1. Was great visiting you again. My son has already finished reading the script and plans on a follow along with show this weekend.

Me and my wife want to give you a special thanks. The first #CONCAKE two years ago blew her away, and we are glad that you enjoyed this years Con Cake. Its our little charitable donation to help raise funds at the auction block.
